Bring your old lawn chairs, old refrigerators, old televisions, any large items that the trash company won’t pick up* -- you can drop it off for FREE! There will be a crew to assist you with your trash.

* No paint or anything toxic – and PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DEBRIS AT THE PARKING LOT BEFORE OR AFTER THE PICK UP TIME!

RBCA General Meeting Tuesday March 11, 2008 @ 7:30 pm

November 13 RBCA General Meeting

The next RBCA General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 7:30 P.M. at Braddock Elementary School in the Janet S. Zschoche Library.

Topics include:
  • Presentation by Mike Webb with an update on the Heritage Mall shopping center
  • Fairfax County Police will give a presentation on domestic violence
  • Discussion session to formulate topics of concern for upcoming meetings
Please invite a neighbor to come with you to the November meeting!

NOTE: RBCA is holding a canned food drive to benefit the Annandale Christian Community for Action (ACCA). Please bring a canned good with you to the November 13 General Meeting.

Two parades - Saturday, October 27!

There are two parades coming up on Saturday, October 27th. The first one is the Annandale Parade down Columbia Pike. You can watch the fun OR be a part of the parade! If you'd like to be part of the parade, meet Harry Pope, our RBCA President, at the United Methodist Church parking lot on Columbia Pike by 9:30am. You can ride in the back of his truck or walk along side and pass out candy.

The second parade of the day is the RBCA Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 27th, at 4pm. We meet at Claire Grumbly's house, 4804 Erie Street, march down Erie, up Heritage to Newcastle and back to Erie Street. If you live along the parade route, or would just like to, please pass out candy to the children, and make a dog bone to our canine marchers! Yes, the Halloween Parade is open to all children and pets. Please invite your friends, neighbors, grandchildren and more to our annual Halloween Parade!! After the parade, there will be cupcakes and punch.

September 18 RBCA General Meeting and Virginia Candidates Night!

The next RBCA General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at 7:00 P.M. at Braddock Elementary School in the Janet S. Zschoche Library. Neighborhood residents will find more information in your mailbox! (RBCA Members, look for your August newsletter in your mailbox!)

At 7:00 P.M. the RBCA Election of Officers will be held. NOMINATIONS WILL BE TAKEN FROM THE FLOOR!

At 7:30 P.M., the Virginia Candidates' Night program will begin. Candidates for the following offices have been invited to attend:
  • Virginia State Senate District 35
  • Virginia House of Delegates District 39
  • Chairman - Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
  • Fairfax County Board of Supervisors - Braddock District
  • Fairfax County School Board At-Large
  • Fairfax County School Board - Braddock District
Please plan on attending the Virginia Candidates' Night -- and bring your questions! Get prepared for November 6th's Election Day ballot!
